What is a Travel Plan?

A travel plan is a business management tool that could save you money by improving the travel options available to staff. The process to develop a travel plan for your organisation is easy and SWELTRAC have three dedicated Travel Plan Co-ordinators available to give free expert advice and support through the whole process.

Your workplace travel plan will include a document containing:

• information on the existing transport situation at your site
  
• public transport information, including the nearest bus stops, bus frequencies and train timetables
  
• cycling information such as the nearest secure cycle parking and recommended cycle routes in the area
  
• website links to relevant transport information such as journey planners and online maps
  
• objectives and targets for the following year
  
• an action plan of measures to implement over time
