Gavin French – Transport Partnerships Manager

gavin french

Gavin manages the SWELTRAC team and has worked with the partnership since October 2001. He was originally a ‘one man band’ as SWELTRAC Support Officer, but the team has grown over the years and he became manager of the partnership in October 2007. He has a strong office management background, but has also worked as a journalist as well as for Sky TV on special projects and as a Wayleave Officer in the cable industry.

When not busy at work, Gavin likes to indulge himself in his life-long pastime as a fan of the BBC TV series, ‘Doctor Who’.

Nick Bailey – Travel Plan Co-ordinator

nick

Nick has worked with SWELTRAC as a Travel Plan Co-ordinator since November 2008. He completed a Mathematics degree in his hometown Bristol in 2007. He enjoys cycling to work in Twickenham and would recommend this to anyone wishing to keep fit and save money.

Nick’s previous employment involves working in Burger King, which everyone agrees is the perfect background for a career in transport. He enjoys football (he is a season ticket holder at Bristol City), cycling and cider but not at the same time.

Richard joined the SWELTRAC Team in November 2009 taking on the challenging role of Transport Partnerships Support Officer.

He started off working in Retail where he developed his customer service skills to achieve a Senior Manager position after completing his Education at High School and College level.

After which he progressed his career in the Rail and Construction industry working for Amec Spie Rail (now known as Colas Rail), where he worked for 2 years as a Team Administrator and gained much knowledge and experience within the Rail industry. He then progressed further by obtaining a position within Balfour Beatty and Carillion on the joint venture East London Line Project where he worked on a success project on a 13 month contract as a Technical Administrator.

Richard is a big Football fan supporting Crystal Palace and can be seen there on most home matches. He also tries to get to as many England home matches as he can. After studying at The John Fisher School in Purley (a predominantly Rugby playing School), he is now a keen Rugby follower, following London Swaps and England.
