Electric vehicles
Since 2007, SWELTRAC has been working with Transport for London and other partners to install a series of electric vehicle charging points across the south and west London sub-region.
Twenty four charging units have been installed in seven of our partner Boroughs (four new points to follow in Croydon shortly) and electric vehicle users can register to use any of these points. If you live or work in one of the SWELTRAC boroughs you can apply for membership of our Electric Vehicle Charging Point scheme by using the registration forms found on our documents page. Registered users of the SWELTRAC scheme may also use any of the Elektrobay charging points located in the City of Westminster. Most or all of the SWELTRAC EV charging points will become part of a new pan-London scheme due to commence in January 2011. This will mean that any registered users of our SWELTRAC will be able to use any other charging points across London that are also part of the pan-London scheme. Further details will be made available here in the coming months.
