We are shortly proposing to make significant updates to this section giving detailed descriptions of many of the projects, past and present, that SWELTRAC has been undertaking in conjunction with our partner boroughs. Below are details of some of the more significant recent schemes undertaken by SWELTRAC

Twicklenham Station

A major project to improve both the station itself and facilities for bus interchange, walking, cycling and kiss & ride.The picture to the left highlights Twickenham Station before the project began.

Brentford Town Centre

A four year programme of improvements to facilities for all modes of transport in the town centre. In particular, emphasis is being given to links to the newly refurbished Brentford Station.

Mortlake Local Area Treatment

Traffic calming and walking and cycling improvements, coupled with other environmental improvements in the residential area between Mortlake and Barnes Bridge Stations.

Tramlink Accessibility

Improvements in accessibility, signage and information for users of the Tramlink service in the Boroughs of Croydon and Merton.

Feltham Interchange

Good quality facilities at the station for efficient interchange between trains and buses with express bus services to and from Heathrow Airport.The picture to the left indicates the improvements to Feltham Interchange.

Hounslow Town Centre

High quality travel information and improved pedestrian signage.

Kingston Station

Extension to bus lanes and new signal priorities.
