SWELTRAC (the South & West London Transport Conference) was a pro-active transport partnership covering south & west London, operating from 1994 until 31st March 2011. It was first formed by a collection of London Boroughs who shared concerns about transport access to Heathrow Airport. Over its 16+ years lifespan it grew to consist of 10 London Boroughs working in co-operation with Surrey County Council, Spelthorne Borough Council, bus and train operators, transport authorities and passenger and business interests.
This web site will cease to function at the end of October 2011. In the meantime, we invite you to use it to learn more about SWELTRAC's history and legacy.
In future, transport partnership issues in South London will be handled by South London Partnership and in West London by Westtrans. Please contact them directly regarding any relevant issues.
The SWELTRAC Team would like to thank all those who have worked with us and shown an interest in our work over the last 16 years.
